So I'm doing this blog for my Media & Society class, but that doesn't mean that it won't be interesting! Here's the deal: I have to talk about all of the media that has influenced my life during 5 different days. No judging; this is my first blog ever written. ever.
And so it begins.
I was already influenced by the media from the moment I woke up this morning, because I blasted my music on shuffle to get me going for the day. Then, as I borded the bus, I noticed all of the ads running the length of the roof, shouting for my attention. later on, I retrieved my finished assignment from the Internet to print and turn it in for my second class, ignoring the ads on the web page like a pro. At lunch, when I could finally go home, I checked on all of my social media while eating: Facebook, Twitter, even Pintrest. Then, while I should have been doing homework, I proceeded to access youtube.com, which did a great job of distracting me for the next couple of hours. After I snapped out of my trance, I went back to campus to really do my homework. During that time, I finished it all using the Internet on a library computer. Now I'm back home, typing this blog, and using the Internet. AGAIN. Well, it's been fun, but I'm gonna go hang out with my friends, play some xbox, probably check my Facebook again, and, you know, continue to be owned by the media.
